Converter type AF 524
The converters of the type series AF-524 are designed for the operation of FAURNDAU synchronous
motors. Together with these motors, they form a modern, universally usable three phase drive system.
Systems like this fulfill sophisticated and highly dynamic drive requirements. The allocation of the
converter type for a specific motor size is determined by the shaft capacity of the motors. It can be
taken from the table "Capacity data".

The option break chopper and break resistance allows dynamic 4Q operation over the whole regulated
speed control range in the scope of the capacity of the break resistance.
